Coach Krista Grabher started playing lacrosse in her hometown of Vero Beach, FL where she played for Vero Beach High School, earning All-American accolades and leading her team to four state championships. She went on to play for The University of Florida women’s lacrosse team. Krista was a four year varsity-letter winner and captain at Florida, which was consistently a top ten program, and made it to either the final four or elite eight each of her years there. She began her career as a midi-attack, and transitioned into a defender, earning Defensive Player of the Week her senior year.
Coach Grabher graduated from Florida with a degree in English and found her calling in coaching and teaching at Saint Edward’s School in Vero Beach, FL, where she gained experience as a head coach and club lacrosse coach.
She now lives in Jacksonville, FL and continues her passion at Episcopal School of Jacksonville as an English teacher and the Girls Lacrosse Program Director and head coach.
Coach Jordan Smith is from Atlanta, Georgia where she played lacrosse at North Springs High School and for Team Georgia travel lacrosse club. She went on to play Division 1 Lacrosse as a starting midfielder at Presbyterian College where she was MVP in 2008, 2009, and 2010. She was named captain her senior year as well as NLC All Academic, All League, and Second Team All-Conference. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Jordan moved back to Atlanta and became a US Lacrosse Local 1 Rated Lacrosse Official and worked in human resources. Quickly realizing a cubicle was not for her, she moved to Colorado and began traveling. While living in New Zealand for 3 years, she became assistant coach of St. Peters School of Cambridge lacrosse team. She also played for the New Zealand National Women's lacrosse team in 2014.
Coach Smith currently is the Head JV coach at Episcopal School of Jacksonville and teaches PE at James Weldon Johnson middle school. She resides in Ortega with her husband, Robb and black lab puppy, Holly.
Coach Christy Turner is a two-time national champion at Northwestern University (2011, 2012). A native of Orlando, FL, and graduate of Timber Creek High School, Turner spent her collegiate career at Northwestern in which she helped the Wildcats capture a pair of NCAA national championships and guided the team to four consecutive Final Four appearances.
Turner served as the team captain her junior and senior year. She started her career as a defender at Northwestern and switched to midfield. Turner finished her collegiate career with 36 points (24G, 12A) and 49 caused turnovers.
Turner earned a bachelor of science degree in Journalism from Northwestern in 2014. She currently works as a reporter at Action News Jax in Jacksonville, FL.
Coach Cara Canington was a four-year member and senior captain of the four-time regional finalist C. Milton Wright High School lacrosse team in Bel Air, Maryland. She was nominated high school team MVP in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and earned Under Armor All-American honors. She went on to play for the University of Florida women’s lacrosse team where she was a four-year varsity-letter winner and captain. Her leadership in the goal helped Florida earn four consecutive conference championships, three appearances in the elite eight and one run in the final four.
Coach Canington graduated summa cum laude in May 2013 with a B.S. in Sport Management and earned a master’s degree in Sport Management in May 2014. She has helped coach several goalkeepers in the Jacksonville area, offering both club team training and individual lessons.
She now lives in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL and continues her passion for sports as a Manager in Community Impact for the PGA TOUR. She is excited to serve as Duval Dash’s goalkeeping coach.
